Tormach CNC

edit

Tormach is a CNC machine tool company with headquarters in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Tormach focuses on Personal CNC[1], machinery which is characterized by equipment whose size, capabilities, and original sales price make it useful for individuals or small companies. Personal CNC machines are often operated by users without formal training in CNC technology.

Tormach is the originator of a quick change tool holding system known as the Tormach Tooling System (TTS). Release in 2004, TTS can be used in conventional R8 or #3 Morse taper spindles but is better suited to CNC use than conventional tooling.[2] R8 and Morse tapers predate CNC technology and are common on small manual milling machines.

Tormach is the originator and patent holder (US patent 7,386,362 [3]) of the Duality Lathe. Released in 2008, Duality Lathe is a dual purpose machine which can be operated stand-alone as a manual lathe, or as a CNC lathe when used in combination with a CNC mill.

Tormach ships equipment worldwide, with warehouse locations in Wisconsin, Nevada, and China. Office locations are in Waunakee[4], Wisconsin and Nanjing China. Waunakee is the headquarters and sales office, while Nanjing office is home to the quality audit team and internal logistics services.
