History

edit

UBC Okanagan and the faculty of Management was established in 2005. Over the years it has grown in numbers and has been responsible for many Management related events such as the live case challenge. The faculty is also engaged in research in relation to management and economics. It is not related to the Sauder School Of Business at UBC Vancouver. As of 2021, The faculty has transitioned online due to COVID-19, like most of UBCO.

Program Overview[1]

edit

The Faculty of Management at UBC's Okanagan campus offers a cross-disciplinary approach to learning as management education is integrated with arts and sciences. Through team projects, practical challenges and critical thinking, the program prepares students to further their education in graduate courses, or for work experience.

For undergrads getting a Bachelor of Management (BMgt), there are co-op options available, as well as the opportunity to obtain a minor in either Cultural Studies, sociology, Computer Science or Psychology.

UBCO does also offer the Master of Management (MM) program and the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies (IGS) program if one chooses to continue their studies.
