- Weigert, A., Golombek, A., Gerth, M., Schwarz, F., Struck, T. H., & Bleidorn, C. (2016). Evolution of mitochondrial gene order in Annelida. Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution. [1]
- This article published to a science journal and has been peer reviewed. It give more in depth information about the gene order and phylogeny in Annelida and the genetic connections including the clade Plestoannelida.
- Beckers, P., Helm, C., & Bartolomaeus, T. (2019). The anatomy and development of the nervous system in Magelonidae (Annelida) – insights into the evolution of the annelid brain. BMC Evolutionary Biology. [2]
- This article was published in a biology journal. It give great insight into the morphology and development of the nervous system in Magelonidae (within the clade Plestoannellida).
- Purschke, G., Bleidorn, C., & Struck, T. H. (2014). Systematics, evolution and phylogeny of Annelida – a morphological perspective. Memoirs of Museum Victoria, 71, 247–269. [3]
- This article was published through a journal. It discusses the morphological systematics of Annelida entirely and could be used to help build a section on the morphology of Plestoannellida.
- ZhiFei Zhang. Martin R. Smith & XinYi Ren. (2023) The Cambrian cirratuliform Iotuba denotes an early annelid radiation. Biological Publishes [4]
- This article dives into the primordial characteristics of annelids around the end of the Cambrian explosion to further detail what are unique to Plestoannellida and help give further evidence to it relating to Errantia and Sedentaria.
- Günter Purschke. Stepan Vodopyanov. Anjilie Baller. Tim von Palubitzki. Thomas Bartolomaeus. Patrick Beckers. (2022). Ultrastructure of cerebral eyes in Oweniidae and Chaetopteridae (Annelida) – implications for the evolution of eyes in Annelida. Zoological Letter, 8 article 3. [5]
- This article takes a deep dive into the structure of an annelids eyes and highlights the simplification of those within the Plestoannellida clade, which could help highlight the physiology of the clade and its simplified, characteristic lacking nature compared to other annelids.

Outline of proposed changes
editClick on the edit button to draft your outline.
Now that you have compiled a bibliography, it's time to plan out how you'll improve your assigned article.
In this section, write up a concise outline of how the sources you've identified will add relevant information to your chosen article. Be sure to discuss what content gap your additions tackle and how these additions will improve the article's quality. Consider other changes you'll make to the article, including possible deletions of irrelevant, outdated, or incorrect information, restructuring of the article to improve its readability or any other change you plan on making. This is your chance to really think about how your proposed additions will improve your chosen article and to vet your sources even further. Note: This is not a draft. This is an outline/plan where you can think about how the sources you've identified will fill in a content gap. |
With the sources I've collected, I believe I'd plant to begin developing a section over the general morphology and anatomy of the clade Plestoannelida. These sources also contain relevant images of important structures as well as helping understand the genetic relations between such anatomy. I don't plan to make any deletions to the article currently. I believe this article needs more information added, which will be mostly on phylogeny and morphology of the clade.
