Current student in the Johns Hopkins Museum Studies Master Program. I work in the Visitor Services Department at the Newseum in Washington D.C.

I received my B.A. in Art History from the University of Delaware. During my undergraduate career, I was a curatorial apprentice with the University Museums and I worked in the Visual Resources Collection digitizing the slide collection. In January 2006, I traveled to New Orleans to rebuild houses destroyed by Hurricane Katrina; eventually I moved to New Orleans and joined AmeriCorps to continue rebuilding efforts. Through this experience, I realized that the preservation and dissemination of culture through museums is essential, especially in the face of tremendous disaster. To get back into a museum setting, I interned for at the archives for the Newseum in Washington D.C. cataloging historic newspapers. I transitioned to Visitor Services in 2011.
