Luxon Muzungu was born on 01 January 1967 at Harare Central Hospital in Harare Zimbabwe. His parents both were born in the Chibi District of Masvingo Province. When the parents separated in his early childhood he was raised in the maternal village of Matiwa in Chibi assuming the maternal surname Muzungu. The paternal name is Govo which he never assumed as he and other sibling were raised in the maternal family. Early Childhood' Luxon grew up in Matiwa village but re-located to Harare as his single mother sought employment to fend and educate for the children. He did his primary education at Gombo Government school in Harare. Due to the heighten liberation war struggles in Zimbabwe during the 1970 visits to his rural home became sporadic breaking ties with the maternal family.

 Education

Luxon did his secondary education at Dzivaresekwa High School. He Further completed a Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. He completed a Bachelor Of Commerce Degree in Human Resources Management in 2012.

 Career

Luxon worked for the Government of Zimbabwe from 1987 in the Salary Services Bureau rising from a Junior Clerk to Senior clerk in 7 years before joining private company National Glass in Kadoma in 1993. After the collapse of the glass manufacturing company in 1995 Luxon relocated to Harare to join Wade Adams Construction as a Personnel Officer in 1995 Wade Adams was purchased by Skanska Jensen International and closed shop in Zimbabwe in 2000 due to a deteriorating economic and business environment. He set-up a short-lived private business incorporated for domestic and industrial electrification and maintenance using proceeds of a retrenchment package from Skanska International. The death of a Co-Director who was a qualified Electrician signaled the death of the company in 2001.

Luxon Joined Quest Motor corporation as a Personnel Manager in February 2001 and later joined Treger Industries In May 2003 as a Human Resources Manager. He later joined Celsys Limited which ran into liquidation in 2014.
