LDBot

This user account is a bot operated by Lightdarkness (talk). It is used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually, in accordance with the bot policy. This bot does not yet have the approval of the community, or approval has been withdrawn or expired, and therefore shouldn't be making edits that appear to be unassisted except in the operator's or its own user and user talk space.
Administrators: if this bot is making edits that appear to be unassisted to pages not in the operator's or its own userspace, please block it.

What is LDBot edit

LDBot is a bot written and maintained by Lightdarkness. It uses the Pywikipedia framework to update content on pages, with a PHP backend doing all the dirty work. Currently, the bot has two functions.

WP:AFD edit

LDBot has taken over the operations of WP:AFD, as AllyUnion (The maintainer of AFDBot) hasn't been around to bring his bot back up to operational status. If you have any comments regarding this feature, please express your opinions on the mentioned pages.

Some questions that I have gotten so far, is if this code is at all based on the original AFD Bot code. The answer is simply no. I've written everything from the ground up, as AllyUnion's code isn't publicly available (An old version of VFDBot's code was available, but it used some old functions from pywikipedia).

Update Yesterday page with current day
Close previous AFD days
Update current discussion list
Update old disucssions list
