MOGAT3 MOGAT3 encoding lipid metabolic enzymes expressed in the skin and positioned them on known and putative lipid metabolic pathways likely to be involved in the storage and movilization of long chain fatty acid components os the sebum and epidermal lipids. In humans, MOGAT3 is essential for the absorption of dietary fat in the small intestine and an important liver enzyme. In contrast to humans, MOGAT3 is functional in sheep duodenum or liver.
