Main Characters edit
- Zed (ゼッド, Zeddo, voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino, 平田宏美 (child))
- Spirits: Rambos (ランボス, Ranbosu) and Key Spirit Amil Gaul (アミル・ガウル, Amiru Gauru)
- The white-haired protagonist of the series. He's described by the show's producers as the silent lone-wolf type who only shows affection to those that he's close--his mother and his best friend. Zed is originally from the land of Calm, a dystopic city where "no wind blows". On his 15th birthday he arrived in the land of Tempura and awakened as a shardcaster. He becomes frustrated with his inability to control Amil Gaul but desiring power to help the Jimoto Princess Rebecca, he acquired a new spirit, "the soul of power". While less powerful then Amil Gaul, Rambos is able defeat Dumas and Glaucio. He discovers his childhood friend from Calm is in possession of a key spirit and living in Neotopia.

- 15歳。ゼッドの無二の親友。カーム出身。精鋭部隊「ネオナイツ」の1人。
- ゼッドとは対照的に真面目で品行方正な優等生だが、極度の虚弱体質で、特殊なコルセットを装着していないと生きていくことが出来ない。普段は大人しいが、激昂すると我を忘れる性分がある。ゼッドと時を同じくして、ネオトピア幹部ダイアナにより、「救世主」として召喚されるが、怒りに我を忘れて村一つを滅ぼし、その後ジーモットへシフティング。放浪の民たちとともに暮らしていたが放浪の民たちが故郷「リオン」へ運ぶ箱（アーク）がノアに反応し、入っていたスピリット「サチュラ」が覚醒してしまう。そのせいで放浪の民たちを消滅させ、サギリにも重傷を負わせてしまう。その後ダイアナによってネオトピアに連れ戻され、「絶対規律」の理念に感化されてネオトピア軍に入隊する。所持するスピリットはキースピリット「サチュラ」。

- Spirit: Apukareru (アプカレル).
- Roya is 16 year-old shardcaster from Tempura and a favorite disciple of Jiko. She was brought to Tempura from Tusk as a child.
- 幼い頃、タスクで父親の手先に殺されようとしたところをジーコに助けられ、テンプラーへやってきた。喜怒哀楽がはっきりしている。快活で心優しい、誰にも慕われる少女。当初はロベスに熱をあげるなどややミーハーなところもあったが、徐々にゼッドに魅かれていく。所持するスピリットは「アプカレル」。

- 食えない性格の好々爺で、ゼッドの無茶も軽くあしらうが、ことロイアのこととなると何も出来ない、人間臭い一面も。Hairam とは過去に因縁がある様子。所持するスピリットは「ファイロン」。
- Robes Redondo (ロベス・レドンド, Robesu Redondo, voiced by: Shinichiro Miki)
- Spirit: Belladonna (ベラドンナ)
- A 30 year-old shardcasting champion from Tempura.
- テンプラーの貴族、レドンド家の生まれ。ナルシストで浪費癖が激しく、かつキザで嫌味な性格。しかし、幼い頃から仕えている執事のじいには優しさも覗かせる。端正なルックスとその強さで女性を中心にファンも多いが、その実は没落貴族で家計は火の車である。家計を支えるべく、怪盗「ノーフェイス」として世間を騒がせたことも。所持するスピリットは「ベラドンナ」。
- Mickey (ミッキー, Mikkī, voiced by: Nobuhisa Nakamoto)
- Spirits: Arumadoru (アルマドル) and Suraguna (スラグナ) (after Dumas's death)
- A 15 year-old shard caster apprentice and baker from Tempura. He was under the tutelage of Dumas.
- よく言えば優しく、悪く言えば臆病で頼りない少年。シャードキャスターとしては未熟で、スピリットに意識を乗っ取られ暴れてしまったことも。デュマスの死去後は生活のためにパン作りを始めるが、才能があったらしくシャードキャスター以上にパン作りにのめり込み、ついに店を持つまでに至った。当初はロイアを好いていたが、パン配達の最中に知り合ったレドンド家のメイド、ピーノと恋仲になり、バカップル化。所持するスピリットは「アルマドル」と「スラグナ」。
- Dumas Schkuramux (デュマス・シュクラムクス, Dyumasu Shukuramukusu, voiced by: Hiroshi Yanaka)
- Spirit: Suraguna (スラグナ)
- 20 year old former shard casting champion for Tempura. He turned out to be a Joker (spy) for Jimoto.
- 奴隷出身の家系で、手には奴隷一族であったことを示すあざが浮かんでいる。寡黙かつ真面目な性格で、ミッキーをはじめ多くの人々に慕われていたが、その正体はジーモットのジョーカー（スパイ）。奴隷の立場を改善するために努力を重ね、ついにシャードチャンピオンとなるが、結局は実のない名誉が与えられるだけであった。そのため自らの体に流れる奴隷の血を嫌悪し、成り上がるためにジーモットに従う。その後ゼッドに敗れ、グラウジオに処刑される。所持するスピリットは「スラグナ」。

- One of the seven sages of Tempura, Sebastian is a close friend to Jiko. He will act on Jiko's behalf at the sage's council.

- One of the seven sages of Tempura.
- The head sage of Tempura's seven sages. At first glance he is very strict, but has shown to have a soft side.
Jimoto edit
- Rebecca (レベッカ, Rebekka, voiced by Marina Inoue)
- Spirit Ariel (アリエル)
- 18 years-old。ジーモット旧王家の最後の生き残りである王女。
- ジーモットに囚われていたが、ジーモットのテンプラー出兵の隙をついて脱出。現勢力打倒・王家復興のための協力を求めにテンプラーへ向かい、そこでゼッドと出会う。その後ヒューの策略で強制的に結婚させられ、封印されていたスピリット「プロニモ」を奪われた。ヒューへの憎しみから我を失い、復讐鬼と化す。カルブ・フーの長、ケンプに説得され自我を取り戻すが、その戦いでエルメイダに重傷を負わされ、死亡した。所持するスピリットは「」。
- Bakkam (バッカム, Bakkamu, voiced by Katsuhisa Hōki)
- Former King of Jimoto and father of Rebecca.
- ジーモットの精神に深く耽溺した冷徹な王で、その思想は、自らを殺そうとしたヒューを「ジーモットの清心に従った」と賞讃するほど徹底していた。娘であるレベッカのことは溺愛していたが、結局その思想と娘への愛をヒューに利用され、王家秘蔵の「プロニモ」を奪われた直後に殺された。
- Elda (エルダ, Eruda, voiced by Komina Matsushita)
- Rebecca's bodyguard and confidant. She dies in order to protect Rebecca from Hugh.
- Hugh (ヒュー, Hyū, voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi)
- Spirit: Keyspirit Pronimo (プロニモ, Puronimo)
- One of the three leaders of Jimoto. Current King of Jimoto.
- 口にマスクをしている。性格は厳格かつ冷徹で、自らの目的のためならどんな犠牲や罪も厭わない非情な男。キースピリットの奪取を目的としてジーモットとカルブ・フーを制圧し、現在の地位を獲得する。タスクとも深い関係を持っており、タスク4幹部のジームの命に従っているが、キースピリットを渡す気はない様子。ゼッドから「アミル・ガウル」を奪って使用するも拒絶反応を起こし、自分がすべてのキースピリットを所持できない運命にあることに絶望し、「（自身に従わない）キースピリットをすべて破壊する」信念の下、口布をはずした。所持するスピリットはキースピリット「プロニモ」。
- Elmeida (エルメイダ, Erumeida, voiced by Erino Hazuki)
- The female member of the three Jimoto leaders.
- 唯一の女幹部。眼を隠すマスクをしている。力至上主義の残忍な性格。それゆえヒューの専制にも反発しているが、同時にヒューの力を誰よりもよく知るため、大人しく従っている。所持するスピリットは「ザクーア」。
- Nudeu (ヌデュー, Nudyū, voiced by Takashi Kondo)
- Replaced Glaucio as one of the three Jimoto leaders.
- グラウジオ失脚後、幹部に選ばれた男。爬虫類のような尖った瞳と長い舌が特徴的。野心家で、ヒューを倒してジーモットの王になろうと息巻くが、実力が伴っていないためどうにも口だけの感が否めない。だが、変貌したヒューに畏敬し、大人しく命に従っている。所持するスピリットは「マラキア」。
- Glaucio (グラウジオ, Guraujio, voiced by Aya Endo)
- One of the three original Jimoto leaders.
- 耳に覆いをつけており、ヒュー、エルメイダと合わせ「見ざる・聞かざる・言わざる」。子供ながら3幹部に相応しいだけの力がある。人殺しに快感を覚える残虐な性格だが、ゼッドに敗れ再起不能にされる。所持するスピリットは「ラグアント」。
Kalab-Fu edit
- Kemp (ケンプ, Kenpu, voiced by Yasuyuki Kase)
- Leader of the Kalab-Fu people. He saves Rebecca when she's unconscious in the desert. Kemp advocates for dialogue.
- Guzman (グスマ, Guzuma, voiced by Ken Takeuchi)
- Kemp's brother. He was rescued by Zed when they were both imprisoned in a Jimoto prisoner camp. He goes against his brother in advocating that Kalab-Fu stand up to their Jimoto oppressors.
- Lucia (ルシア, Rushia, voiced by Komina Matsushita)
- Guzman's wife. She protetects the children during the battle. She names the last surviving child of the war after Rebecca.
Tusk edit
- Gari (ガリ, Gari, voiced by Tadahisa Saizen)
- 獣人。タスク国王。
- タスクを治める国王だが、獣人を利用するためジームら4幹部の飾り物に過ぎない。ネオトピア侵攻の際はヒューを争い、殺される。
- Gege (ゲゲ, voiced by Tōru Nara)
- 獣人。ガリの腹心。
- 右眼に傷があり、他の獣人と比べ毛が赤く、異なる兜を被っている。部隊を率いてネオトピアへ攻め込み、その後ヒューの命令で占領地での虐殺を行っていたが、ウルバークスの複合体スピリット「エクスマキーナ」に部隊共々全滅させられる。
- Jeba (ジェバ, Jeba, voiced by Ken Takeuchi)
- 獣人。ガリの腹心。
- 他の獣人と比べ毛が青く、翼に赤い布を巻いている。ゲゲと共に部隊を率いてネオトピアへ攻め込む。
- Jim (ジーム, Jiimu, Voiced by Takashi Kondō)
- タスク4幹部の1人。
- タスクの頂点に立つ4幹部の中でも、リーダー的な立場にいる男。ヒューを配下に置き、キースピリットの奪取を画策させる。
- Morocco (モロッコ, Morokko, voiced by Tomohisa Asou)
- One of the leaders of Tusk and father to Roya.
- 元々はロイアを可愛がる普通の父親だったが、ロイアが自分を殺すことになるという予言者グリジェフ（引田有美）の言葉に惑わされ、デスパラを差し向けてロイアの殺害を謀る。後にタスクに現れたロイアを再度殺害しようとするが、ジェサラの人格が現れたデスパラに阻止され、逃走しようとしたところをデスパラの側近でテンプラーのジョーカークラウド（奈良徹）の手で殺された。
- Despara (デスパラ, Desupara, voiced by Hirumi Hirata)
- タスク幹部の1人。Morocco's subordinate。
- ロイア殺害を請け負い、ロイアを崖へ落下させ母親のジェサラ の殺害に成功するも、ジェサラが死ぬ寸前に放ったシャードの力で魂を乗り移られ、2重人格のような状態に陥る。ジェサラの呪縛から逃れるべくロイアを再度殺害しようとするが、ロイアがモロッコの凶刃にかかる寸前にジェサラの人格が現れ身代わりとなった。愛娘との再開後、負った傷が元で死亡した。
- Norman (ノーマン, Nooman, voiced by Eiji Hanawa)
- A nobleman from Tusk.
- モロッコのライバルで、モロッコを失脚に追い込む為にロイアを養女にした。ガリの命令でロイアを差し出そうとするが、ゼッドに殺された。
- Jesara (ジェサラ, Jesara, voiced by Marina Inoue)
- Morocco's husband and Roya's mother and inhabitant of Tusk.
- Cloud (クラウド, Kuraudo, voiced by: Tōru Nara)
- A Joker (spy) from Tempura who lives in Tusk. While in Tusk, he's depicted to be in romantic a relationship with Roia's mother Jesara. He helps Roya to see her mother who spirit entered Despara's body when she died protecting Roya. Cloud kills Morocco after he makes another attempt on Roya's life.
Work Area
Jesara is a somewhat minor character within the anime due to only being shown within small intervals. Jesara is the mother of Roia, the subordinate main character of Kiba. Jesara is first shown within the anime around episode 20 where she had been shown leaning on Cloud's shoulder, in which she seems to have a high level of love towards him. When Jesara later hears that Roia has returned to the land of Task after a time interval of ten years, she asked Cloud to tell Roia to meet her at the fallen cathedral within Task. After Roia comes up to her mother for the first time (within her memory), Roia realizes that she is soon confronting a woman by the name of Despara instead. It is revealed later in the episode that Jesara had merged her spirit within Despara's body right before her death, which had taken place when she had protected Roia from Despara. Jesara is only later seen when she had protected Roia again by jumping in the way of Morocco's blade, who had at the time held Roia and intended on killing her. Despara is the one who had truly received the blow, in which Jesara had faded away in death in Cloud's arms, telling him to "live on".
Morocco is a rather fat man that had been living within the lands of Task since his life had begun. Morocco is the father of Roia, in which he seems to be rather insane due to his great fear of his daughter. Morocco attained this idiotic fear by first dealing with a certain witch that had prophesied that Roia would "be the death of him". This insanity and great superstition greatly prospered after Roia (as a child) had given Morocco a rose as a gift, in which when he held it he realized that it had pricked his finger, causing for a minor amount of blood loss. This threw him into a state of insanity throughout the rest of his life in which he convinced himself that Roia must die. Due to this fact, Morocco hires Despara as his assassin, which he orders Despara to kill Roia. Due to the fact that Roia's mother had joined bodies with Despara right before her death - as a result of her protecting Roia -, Morocco could never look Despara in the face without being thrown into fear as to look at his own wife's face.
Ten years into the future when Morocco sees Roia dressed beautifully as the newly adopted daughter of Norman - a high ranking noble man of Task -, he literally gets on his hands and knees and crawls quickly away from Roia in a moment of extreme fear within his insanity. After Morocco finds the whereabouts of Roia after this, he personally holds her by the throat and attempts to kill her. However, Despara - who became Jesara momentarily - is struck by his blow. Morocco then attempts to flee, but it instantly cut down by Cloud, thus finally ending his life of distortion.
Despara is a rather young woman that had seemingly been a high ranking official of Task even since a young age. Despara always wears a half-mask around her face - a shared trait amongst the people of Task - and has a rather cruel and arrogant personality. Despara is also the right-hand guardian of Morocco, the father of Roia. At one time in which Despara had been ordered to kill Roia due to Morocco's grand superstition and insanity, Despara had confronted Roia along a small cliff. Roia's mother however had vowed to protect Roia, in which led to Roia accidentally falling of the cliff - later to be saved be Jiko - and the supposed death of Roia's mother. However, Roia's mother had quickly thrown her spirit into that of Despara's, effectively leading Despara to have another person living inside of her.
Despara believes that the only way to get rid of Jesara from her body is to slay Roia. This later leads to Jesara meeting with Roia at a cathedral, but Despara ends up coming out, in which she attempts to kill Roia. However, Cloud holds Despara at bay, effectively allowing Roia to make her escape. Despara later encounters Roia again however, in which Cloud duels her again. After Morocco himself holds Roia, in which he intends on killing her, Despara jumps in the way of the blow (who was taken over by Jesara within a quick moment), and dies. Due to Despara's death, and the unity of their body, they both end up dying as a result.
Neotopia edit

- ネオトピア教皇。
- かつてはジーコの友人だったが、10年前に起こったある事件をきっかけに、「絶対規律」の理念に目覚め、絶対規律に則った全領域の支配を目論む。
- Diana (ダイアナ, Daiana, voiced by Hikita Yumi)
- ネオトピア幹部。
- ノアをネオトピアに召喚し、絶対規律に忠誠を誓わせた張本人。絶対規律に心酔しており、ハイラムの信頼も篤い側近。だが、「絶対規律」を唱えるも国を護れなかったばかりか自身の保身ばかりに走るハイラムに愛想を尽かし、自身がノアと共にネオトピアの絶対正義を護ることを決心。ゼッドと共にハイラムをヒューに差し出した。所持するスピリットは「プラム」。
- Kira (キーラ, Kīra, voiced by Komina Matsushita)
- 精鋭部隊「ネオナイツ」の1人。
- 気が強く、男勝りな性格をしているツンデレ。自覚はないが、ノアに惹かれている。本名はチェルシアで、ヘリックの実妹。所持するスピリットは「フーバリン」。
- Chaves (チャベス, Chabesu, voiced by Tōru Nara)
- 精鋭部隊「ネオナイツ」の1人。
- ハイラムの命令で一個小隊の兵を率いてゼッドをネオトピアへ連行するが、ネオトピア到着後、部隊共々全滅させられる。所持するスピリットは「モーフィアス」「キュリアス」。
- Brian (ブライアン, Buraian, voiced by Ken Takeuchi)
- 精鋭部隊「ネオナイツ」の1人。
- ネオトピア侵略戦では城を囲む第1防御壁を死守していたが、突破されたと同時にヒューに殺される。所持するスピリットは「モーフィアス」。
- Alec (アレック, Arekku, voiced by Shinnosuke Tachibana)
- 精鋭部隊「ネオナイツ」の1人。

- Ulbakan shardcaster.
- 軽い性格の女好きで、ロイアのことも初対面から「ちゃん」づけで呼ぶ。ウルバークスの面々からも変わり者扱いされている風来坊で、「悪の枢軸」であるタスクを一人でうろつくなど、謎めいた一面も。所持するスピリットは「ゴリアテ」。

- 冷静沈着な性格だが、Neotopia への激しい憎悪の念を抱いている。1度 Hairam 暗殺を実行するも失敗し、成し遂げるため一個小隊を率いてネオトピアへ潜入するが、部隊を絶滅させ1人で帰還。未完成品である "Ex-machina" を無断で持ち込みネオトピアで使用してしまい、暴走を止めようとするが死亡する。キーラ（Chelsea）とは血の繋がった実兄。His Spirit is「アルマス」。

- 精神を病んで入院していたが、ゼッドが持っていた羽飾りを見た瞬間突如意識が戻り、シャードキャスターとして戦う。タスクと関係があるらしいが、詳細不明。

- 放浪の民の娘。
- 素直で活発な少女。ジーモットで倒れていたノアを拾い、そのままノアに懐く。ノアが放浪の民を全滅させた際に唯一生き残り、ノアとともにネオトピアに移ったが、絶対規律の思想は理解できず、ノアの変貌にも戸惑っている。
