Kakila: Kakila is a very beautiful village in the Jagdishpur talluka of Bihar. It falls under Bhojpur District and it is around 40 kilometers from the District Headquarter Arrah. Kakila has a good sight of nature as it has been surrounded by greenery and beautiful ponds and rivers. 
  It has population of around 10000.The major proffession of the people residing in this village is agriculture.  It has a good mixture of people belonging different religions and casts. The majority community is Hindu while Muslims also are inhabitating in a good amount. 
  Culturally, this village is very rich. Ramlila is one of the major attractions performed in this village. Ramlila is performed every year at the occasion of Durga Puja with local villagers playing all the major roles of the play. There is a great history behind the Ramlila organisation in this village. Also there are lot of musical programmes performed throughout the year on several occasions. The theme of the music is the regional folk songs. "Chaita" or "fagua" is the main folk song are performed specially during the festival Holi. Also The world famous Chhat songs can be heard in the Chhat Puja season.

Holi, Diwali, Chath, Id, Muharram are the main festivals people celebrate with great enthusiasm. Other local festivals are ramnavami, Mahashivaratri, Govardhan Puja etc. This village has a very famous Shiva Temple, where Shivaratri is celebrated at a great extent. There happens to be a big village fare for daily needs of the villagers. But, major attraction of the fare is the animal trading. People from far villages bring their cattle to sell. Many farmers from each part of the state come to this fare to get good deals.
