Article Evaluation Homework Section Notes
editWhen evaluating the article on Compassion focused therapy, it was clear that the article has a significant amount of progress to make. The page was nominated for deletion in October 2014, and is currently rated Stub-Class and Low Importance on the Quality and Importance scales. When looking at the reference section of the article, it is clear there is not as diverse a set of citations as one would want, as half of the references are attributed to the work of the creator of CFT, Paul Gilbert. This detracts from some of the credibility of the Wikipedia page, as it needs more breadth in terms of sources for information. Additionally, the page lacks depth, as there are no subsections delving deeper into what CFT actually is. Currently, it appears to be more of a broad, general explanation than an encyclopedia.
