Doerhoefer Park

Doerhoefer Park is a public park located in the Orchard Brook neighborhood of Downers Grove, Illinois. The park was originally established in the 1960's, and in 1971, it was named after Edward J. Doerhoefer, a former Park Commissioner and Board President.

The park holds a large quantity of spaces dedicated to specific sports and activities, such as a turf field, basketball courts, tennis courts, and baseball fields. All of these areas have lighting available until 11:00 pm.

Hours

Doerhoefer Park is open from dawn to dusk. The only exception is when there is a permitted activity in which there is lighting provided. Nobody is allowed on the grounds of the park after the lights turn off, and that rule is in effect until dawn of the next morning.
