William James Boyd ('Jim') is a statesman, Soldier, movie maker, writer, journalist and entrepreneur. Boyd has served in three branches of the United States Military (U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army). Currently, the highest military rank Boyd held is that of an Army Reserve First Lieutenant and command of the 1/212th Transportation Company, US Army Reserve.

Political Aspirations

Boyd has thrice run for political office: In 2006 he ran for his Tennessee (United States) State Legislature and in 2007 he ran for a seat on his Nashville (Tennessee) Metro Council. In 2010 he ran for the United States Congress.

Military Border Mission

From November 2007 to July 2008 Boyd served with Operation Jumpstart. Operation Jumpstart was a joint US National Guard/Border Patrol mission to secure the United States Southern border with Mexico from illegal immigrants, drug smugglers and foreign criminals.

Emmy Award

In 2010, Boyd earned a regional Emmy Award® from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for his work (with others) on the video I Won't Let My Guard Down

Boyd-DeArmond, Inc.

Boyd-DeArmond, Inc. a corporation that existed from 1934 to 1987 was restarted by Boyd in [1] October 2010 as a training organization. Boyd was the Chief Executive Officer of Boyd-DeArmond, Inc. until he handed off the company in 2012 and folded the corporate charter.

Boyd Broadcasting.

Boyd Broadcasting. On January 1, 2015, Boyd created a multi-media communications company, Boyd Broadcasting. Boyd serves as the Executive Director of this company.
