Melanie Morningstar (b 4/16/1956 - ). –

As a producer for 60 Minutes Australia, Morningstar spent four months in Honduras in 1997, tracking down Australia’s Most Wanted Criminal, Robert “Dolly” Dunn. She trekked by herself from large and small towns in Honduras, including the Bay Islands and into Guatemala. She found a contact, set up a sting; the Australian Federal Police arrived and, with the help of the CIA, was able to have him arrested when Dunn arrived in Miami. She has counseled women who have lost their life savings to a fake “dater”. Women all over the world (no men have come forward to reveal their experiences) have been able to identify scammers by doing a search on her site.[1]


No longer a news journalist, Morningstar has turned her focus to narrative; producing three short films. She is producing a storyworld - a short film, six-part television (streaming) series, a feature film, an AR app and a 3D immersive experience.
