Doogani

Doogani is a small settlement of about 25 homes with a population of approximately 67 persons. It is in Village Shyamkhet at a distance of 6 kilometers from the nearest town of Bhowali. Bhowali is an important town for the fruit trade in the state of Uttarakhand

Doogani is also called Dugari, Dungani, Dhungarhi, Dhugani and Dugani

Doogani is the last hamlet after Shyamket on the road from Bhowali to Ramgarh;

Doogani is in the state of Uttarakhand, District Nainital, Block Ramgarh and Village Panchayat of Shyamkhet

The villagers here tend their small agricultural plots and work as daily wage earners. The women spend a greater part of their day sutting and gathering Banj ( Himalayan Oak) leaves to use as fodder for their cattle
