History
editDuring the time of British rule in India, Nationalists felt that there is no education available to generate leadership, for industrial regeneration of India, or for defense of the motherland. The need was felt to have educational institute to originate doctrine to instigate nationalism. Education at very low costs was also one of the aims. The name 'Ramanbag' came from the fact that the place where the school building is situated was used to give scholarships to students during the time of 'Peshwas'. This ceremony of offering scholarship was called 'Ramana' hence the name of school came out to be 'Ramanbag'
