edit

Lacy was born in Pittsford, Vermont. [1] Lacy grew up in Brandon, Vermont where he attended Otter Valley Union High School. There Jake took vocational theater classes and embarked in acting roles. Although he was also an athlete playing hockey, soccer and baseball, he slowly began choosing to be in plays over laying sports. In 2008, Lacy graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem, N.C. After graduation, Jake worked odd jobs in the state of New York. Jake performed his jobs, consisting of being a gym receptionist, a bar-back at a club and a waiter, all while going on auditions during the day, until finally receiving the role in Better with You.[2]

Acting career

edit

Jake acted in high school and performed on professional stages in the production's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" as Demetrius (in Hartford Stage's production), and "Much Ado About Nothing" as Conrad (in the Oberon Theater Ensemble's production).[3] Jake received brief roles in a few episodes of "Guiding Light" before its cancellation.[4] In 2010, Jake received a lead role in the Columbia thesis film "C'est Mol."[5] Still Jake undoubtedly received his big break in Fall 2010 in the television show Better with You.[6]
