Title: The Wade Brothers

The Wade Brothers are David Lindsey Wade and sibling Lyndon Wade who are each recognized as one of the top lifestyle, fashion and advertising photographers in the world. Collectively, they direct motion pieces (film) under the name The Wade Brothers. They have received worldwide acclaim and exposure for their work in all forms of media including digital (web) print (magazines, posters, fan books, catalogs etc) cinema and television. Additionally their work appears in galleries around the world.

Esthetic:

David Lindsey Wade:

David Lindsey Wade made a few important choices during his prime teen rebellious years. Raised by a pair of artists, his way of challenging his parents (who were already a bit off the grid!) was to embrace his attraction to speed and excitement through his passion for machines. He fell in love with hot rods and motorcycles. Taking them apart and putting them back together. The intensity of his attraction was exactly the same as artists have with their own process and product. Their own need for self reflection, to see their ideas live and breathe. To construct and deconstruct.

But he could no escape what was perhaps his genetic imperative.

Even early on, when he first started as a retouched he certainly could “see” what artists see. The play of light, the details of surroundings, the power of passion and improvisation. He began to notice how it informed his own creativity. Looking at his work now, it is hard to imagine how he could have contained it at all. Or chosen another path.

David’s photographs are refreshingly un-ironic. His images are a powerful combination of directorial realism coupled with an aggressively graphic finish. David’s style, though subtle on the shoot is intended to evoke an intense emotionalism and in his portraits in particular, can also belie a kind of silent strength in his subjects. Certainly, if is easy to see his playful or quirky gestural sense, but is often delivered through very classic photographic style. He believes in an executional style that does not ask questions. His work has an uncanny “in the moment” presence. An intense engagement. His action is bold; his narrative- cinematic and provocative.

He tells the whole story and unapologetically committed to his own point of view. You are seeing the inside of his head. His heart. His libido. David’s pictures are straight up. His subjects, and himself, laid bare.

David has been chosen to shoot advertising campaigns for brands that include: Nikon, Oakley, Comedy Central, Harley Davidson, Red Bull, Draft FCB, M+C Saatchi, Nintendo, Wal-Mart, Spring PCS, Lee Europe, The Source, 7-11, Coca-Cola, Porter Teleo, Bayer, Best Buy, Sonic, Science Diets, Payless Shoe Source, Kool, Channel 4 (London), Ebay, Discovery Channel, Pontiac, Kawasaki, New Mexico Tourism, Honda

Lyndon Wade:

Lyndon Wade’s Vibrant compositions often depict subjects in a kind of suspended animation; their halted motion suggests a larger narrative in the space of a single incident. Wade's unique ability to produce complete narrative concepts within single images or small series of images is employed to great effect as a lure to viewers who are asked to draw their own conclusions.

Utilizing an idiosyncratic aesthetic that synthesizes elements of humor, fantasy, whimsy, and wide-ranging influences, Lyndon always attempts to distill big ideas into tightly honed concepts. A photographer that is constantly accepting all manner of influence into his work, Wade finds inspiration in multiple forms of visual culture.

Lyndon has been chosen to shoot advertising campaigns for brands that include Sony, Virgin, Lee Europe, Emanuel Ungaro, Coke, Pepsi, Reebok, Channel 4 (London) Nestea, Sprite, CMT, Shady (Eminem) Limited, Target, Nintendo, Best Buy, WWE, Crest, Caesars, Dodge, Vibe, Stuff, Maxim, Harper Collins, Molson Beer, Vox Vodka, Sprint, GE, Sonic, Bayer, Nestle, BBDO, Draft FCB, J. Walter Thompson, Berlin-Cameron United, Mcgarry Bowen, Saatchi NY,

The Wade Brothers: More recently the David and Lyndon started working together as a motion (film) directing team that has been acclaimed around the world.

Their work for MADD (Mother’s Against Drunk Driving) has won many industry awards (see below) and their two pieces for UK based urban apparel company Fly 53 have been featured in many media outlets globally.
