The total number of students enrolled for 2008 at USF is 8,713. Of those enrolled, 3,137 or 36% were male while 5,576 or 64% were female. Of the 8,713 students, 69% were from the state of California; the remaining 31% were from other states and 53 foreign countries (including Canada). 20% of USF students did not continue beyond their first year, and 67% of them remain to graduate.
