Handshake are a British folk/alternative band.
They met at Royal Holloway, University of London.

editIn 2006, ex-Belisha member, Bob Groves began studying at Royal Holloway, University of London. He soon met vocalist Beth Turrell and Josselin Lartaud, a double-bassist. As a three, early recordings were made. With Joss returning to France, George Benson and Fizz Pearmain were added to the line-up. ===Performances=== Handshake perform regularly at venues in London and the South-East of England. Summer 2008 will see the band play numerous UK festivals. Plans have also been made to play in Spain.
Recording
editVarious recording sessions took place during 2007. Handshake's first EP, World Won't Wait, was recorded in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Other recordings have been made in Essex and London. The band are currently recording new material in central London. Session drummers have been used for recording.
