St Joseph's Church Thannipuzha is situated between Perumbavoor and Kaladi, on the side of M C Road. Kaladi and Thannipuzha are at the both sides of river [[1]]. The feast of parish Patron St. Joseph is being celebrated on the first Sunday of May every year. ഊട്ടുതിരുനാള് (Feast) is on March 19th.
There are two capelas under this parish, St. Martin’s Capela near the river and St. Sebastian’s Capela at Okkal junction. Feasts of St. Martin and St. Sebastian are celebrated in the month of November and January respectively.
The parish has got good number of families and members. Most of them are engaged in river sand trade and rice mill business. Many were active in agricultural sector earlier, but the number has come down now.
CML, CLC, St. Joseph’s Youth Movement, Vincent De Paul Society, Women Welfare, Franciscan III rd Order, Self Help Group, പ്രബോധന കൂട്ടായ്മ etc. are active in the parish.
St. Mary’s Marriage Fund and ജീവകാരുണ്യ നിധി, which are formed in the parish, aim at helping the parishioners in their financial difficulties. ...
