DATES AND EVENTS


· November 27 – Born as the eldest son from among four siblings of Beatriz Pellias De La Cruz and Jessie Baniquit Solis at Liwanay Banga South Cotabato


· 1982 – Mom and Dad separated, left to the care of Aunt Manay



· June 11, 1988 – Baptized as (the first in the family) a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints


· March 30, 1990 – Graduated Elementary with various honors and awards


·June 1990- Enrolled at Notre Dame High, Surallah South Cotabato – a prominent high school in the province


·August 1990 – 1992 – Notre Dame Poet of the Year, become Literary Editor of School Paper


·July 1992 – Co-founded I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E. group with 15 members mostly excellent in academic, sports and prominent sons and daughters of the society. The group grew to nearly a hundred members from all level in the campus.


·September 1992 – Mom was diagnosed of an Acute Cancer in Breast and Lungs complications. Live in the hospital with Mom. Dad returned home


·October 24, 1992 – Mom died. Final words entrusting siblings to Kenji. LETTING GO.


·November 1992 – Run as SK Chairman against the daughter of a prominent politician. All Councilors under the JBsaKB Party won, lost for only 8 votes.


·January 1993 – Dad left with a promise to be back and send us to school, he never returned and we never heard of him since then.


·February 1993 – Incredible Group paid for my remaining balances in school, took MSU-SASE scholarship exam.


·March 22, 1993 – Graduated from Notre Dame as Outstanding Student, recipient of Mindanao State Scholarship Grantee with 98.6%, and National College Entrance Exam passer with 96.0%


·April 1993 – Enroute to Iligan City to pursue college education at Mindanao State University. Full Scholar status obtained. Volunteered as house help to finance my studies.


·May 02, 1993 – Attended Church in Iligan for the first time. First meet the girl I first fell in love – Iris Pintakasi Taban (click if you want to read the story)


·August 1993 – Elected as 1st year College of Eng'g & Technology Chemical Dept President


·September 1993- October 1995– Adopted and stayed with Engr. Marlon Deiparine and his wife Prof. Armi. Served in various callings in the church as Teacher and Youngmen President


·July 1994 – Elected as College of Engineering and Technology Dept President


·August 1994 – Elected as 0ne of the 7-member MSU-IIT Supreme Student Council Leaders


·September 08, 1994 – Founded Intimate Neophytes Creation sponsoring Concert and dance Shows.


·December 28-30, 1994 – 0ne of the 10-member University delegate to the National Rizal Youth Leadership Institute, Baguio City, Phils.


·August 1995 – Turnover leadership of the college.


October 1995- March 1996 – Group Leader, MSU-IIT Dole Phils., Inc On-the-Job Training Group


·March 1996 – Dole Phils., Inc. Awardees - Excellence Trainee Award


·April 01, 1996 – Graduated as an Associate Chemical Engineering major in Process Technology at Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, awarded University Leadership Excellence Award


·April 07, 1996 – First Job, Prime Eastern Chemical Industries (PECI), Basak Mandaue City Cebu Phils.


·May – July 1996 – First Assignment as Water Treatment Chemist, Philex Mining Corporation Baguio City Phils.


·October 1996- March 15, 1998 – Back Home, assigned as PECI General Santos City –Mindanao Area Technical Personnel and was later promoted as Sales Consultant.


·November 1996 – General Santos Ward 3 Church SA Teacher and was later called to another position, Executive Secretary of the Church


·September 1997 – Called as Church’s GenSan Stake Single Adults Representative


·February 1998 – Received Volunteer Mission called to serve in the Phils. Bacolod, Iloilo and nearer Region Mission


·March 25, 1998 – Driving a pick up on the way back home as recognition speaker from the elementary school I graduated when my best friend, Jinnan Enero and I miraculously survived the accident 5 days before I left for MTC MissionTraining. God spared me the first time.


·March 30, 1998 – Arrived at Missionary Training Center ·April 01, 1998 – Received Endowment at the Temple


·April – July 1998 – 1st Area as a young missionary Sibalom Antique Zone. The Beautiful sceneries and the strong mountains of Antique are only secondary to the loveliness and great kindness of her people.


·August –October 1998 – 2nd Area Numancia, Makato, Kalibo Zone The wonderful beaches of Aklan and the uniqueness of their language are only secondary to the beauty of her people inside and out!


·November 1998 – April 1999 – 3rd Area, Kabankalan Negros Occidental, Trained 2 Filipino, 1 American


·November 1998 – first met cousins and aunt on father’s side, completed genealogy prior to death of Grandma


·May – June 1999 – 4th Area, Guihulngan San Carlos Negros Oriental Zone District Leader, Follow-up Trained 1 American


·July – December 31, 1999 – 5th Area, Calumangan Bago La Carlota Zone Leader Trained 2 American, 1 Filipino


·January – May 2000 – 6th Area Bacolod City Office Staff, Assistant to the President Training Missionaries, Stake and District Leaders, Bishop and Branch President down to auxiliaries and stake missionaries.


·May 05, 2000 – Went to every area in the mission, all blessings pronounced was fulfilled. Released from Mission, arrived in General Santos City


·June – September 2000 – Adjustment period, taught Institute in GSPIR, supported brother Carl to process mission application.


·October 2000 – Tried all my best to keep in touch with Iris but she was engaged. My brother Carl was called to serve in Cebu Mission.


·October 15, 2000 – Enroute to Manila, rehired as PECI Water Treatment Chemist Manila-Luzon Area. During temple session received impression while praying that Iris and I is not meant for each other.


·November 05, 2000 – fall in love to a girl named Maricar Penaranda Buarao, My Nothing, a friend younger than me.


November 2000 – Called as Bocaue Bulacan Church Young Men President


·January 2001 – Called as Church 1st Counselor in Bocaue Branch Presidency


·May 2001 – Sister Wymae arrived in Manila to stay with me and pursue college.


November 2001 – for the 2nd time, God spared me from an accident. Being a dog lover, Maxine my three-month-old dog accidentally bite my finger while I was training him to catch the food. He died a few days and I was sick for a month treated with anti-rabies vaccine. Carl and his companion in Cebu mission was also treated in the hospital for months because of dengue.


·June 2002 – Volunteered and taught both Seminary and Institute in the Church, Bocaue Chapel Dedicated


·July 2002 – December 2003 – Served in the Branch with out the 2nd Counselor and the Branch President was out of town for a job.


·May 2003 – Organized with Branch Leaders and Single Adults a 4ward Church INTERWARD SPORTSFEST, a success.


·July 2003 – Reorganization of Bocaue Branch, Released as 1st Counselor and Bocaue become a ward.


October 2003 – Carl arrived home to stay in Bocaue, not in Gensan and was welcomed by the members


·November 2003 – Traveled from all over Luzon (Marinduque, Mindoro, Rizal, Laguna, Bataan, Bulacan, and Metro Manila as PECI Technical Service Leader and Chief Chemist. Resigned November 15, 2003 after 5 years of service.


·December 2003 – May 15, 2004 – Worked as a Laboratory Chemist, Sonic Steel Industries, Dasmarinas, Cavite


·January 2004 – Called as Dasmarinas Church 2nd ward Single Adult teacher


·March 28, 2004 – Committed a ‘Love Suicide’ and decided to forget Nothing (Maricar) after 4 years of keeping my love a secret because I was afraid she was too young for me and I was too old for her and a lot more differences that I have no courage to face. Emotionally immature.


April 2004 – May2 graduated in college and started work as a clerk in a textile company.


·May 15, 2004 – Resigned from Sonic Steel, it’s not the job, and it’s not the company. I simply loss the excitements in life brought by the pain of the ‘love suicide’ I committed.


·May 17, 2004 – Started work as a Technical Support Engineer of Asia Pacific Environmental System Division, Pasay City, Phils.


·June – July 2004 – Pain and adjustment period, attended Manila Phils Institute of Religion. Called as Elders Quorum 1st counselor in Bocaue Ward. Called as Church Valenzuela Stake Young Men 2nd Counselor.


·July 2004 – Through business travel, I was able to revisit my mission friends, converts and relatives in Bacolod City, Philippines


·August 2004 –Revisited Baguio City Philippines through a business technical visit, revelations and impressions received


·August 2004 – reinvented myself for the better, KENJI, a pen name I was using in high school was reborn. It stands for Kindness, Enthusiasm, Courage (No Fear, Never Afraid), Joyful, and Inspiration and Integrity. Redrafted my mission statements, realigned my priorities, shifted the gear to a new level, promised to live a new life by loving, by learning, by leaving a legacy without expecting anything in return.·


September 05, 2004 – Bore testimony in Bocaue, cried. Ended the 3-consecutive sunday fasting. Heart and mind unity.


·September 08, 2004 – After confirmation from the Lord, applied for a job abroad.


·September 12, 2004 – Revealed to my brothers and sister as well as to my best friends my 4-year secret love to Maricar. ‘Nothing’ died and I’ve said my last goodbye.


Someone comes along, a princess, maybe. She becomes my moon. She simply shines during those darkest nights when the sun was nowhere to be found and the stars was not enough to relieve my pain. She might be an answered prayer. She might be the “EVERYTHING” I was hoping for. Where is she now?


·September 24, 2004 – Handed to Carl and Wymae the hard copy of ‘Forever to Remember: Nothing’s Story” composition (similar to that of Iris ‘May to Remember’) for them to hand over to Maricar. Resigned from Asia Pacific System


·September 25, 2004 – Flew from Manila to Bahrain, for a work abroad as a Water Chemist in a purified drinking water company in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Texted Maricar the website I prepared for her. Http://jebznothing.tripod.com/blackhunter


·October 10, 2004 – Finished the website for Maricar and sends her a letter asking for understanding and a reply.


·November 2004 – Called as Peninsula Stake Historian/Clerk, Chorister


·December 17, 2004 – Write my last letter to Maricar forgiving her and asking for her forgiveness for whatever offenses I made. Finished the 5 important fact testimonial for her. Closed the chapter with Nothing. Read an inspired story at Http://jebznothing.tripod.com
