I am a student in a class learning how to use wikipedia. The class assignment is to write a paper on deindustrialization. The country I will be writing about is New Zealand. I live in Pittsburgh for school but I am from Philadelphia. This is the last sociology class that I have to take because I am graduating this year. This is the first class that we needed to use wikipedia for class activities, I think it is a good way to connect information. I think that this will be an important skill in the future. I am both a sociology and psychology major at the University or Pittsburgh.

This is the first edit of my wikipedia page!

I finished my first chapter summary questions for chapters one and two. The chapters discussed global social research and the effects of globalization and deglobalization on research. I thought it was interesting that globalization and deglobalization operate in cycles and I would wonder what would cause deglobalization to occur in the near future. Could it be the loss of fossil fuels? Or would that cause greater globalization?

The chapters we read for this week, 12 and 13, were interesting because I have had some idea about transnational feminist networks and ACGM's but have never taken a more in depth look at them.
