Karl Kiem

Person and background edit

Karl Kiem studied architecture with emphasis on architectural history at the Technical University of Berlin and received doctorates in architectural history from the Technical University of Berlin as well as in art history from the University of Amsterdam and acquired his habilitation (venia docendi) at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg. From 2001 until 2017 he has been a professor of architectural history and historic preservation at the University of Siegen. He has published extensively on Berlin architecture from the18th until 20th centuries and on Dutch architecture of the Baroque period. He is a member of wikipedia since 2008.
