Samantha Giancola (born March 14, 1987)[1] best known as Sammi "Sweetheart" is an Italian-American reality television personality who appeared on the MTV reality show Jersey Shore starting in 2009.



Early life

She was born and raised in Hazlet, New Jersey in an Italian-American family.She went to Raritan High School [2], she played soccer as Midfield for the Pioneers ,and at 17 years old she was named homecoming queen . Giancola attended William Paterson University where she was a midfielder for the women’s soccer team ,she even helped her team win the Eastern College Athletic Conference’s Metro Tournament in 2009[3],she ended her college career with a major in Sociology[4]. Those close to her gave Sammi the nickname Sweetheart, but they also decribe her as sweet with an edge [5]and also as a "serial" dater.

Career

Sammi Giancola is an original cast member of MTV’s highest-rated reality show ever Jersey Shore starting in late 2009 along with other seven housmates.Giving the success of the show Giancola and her housmates rose to fame . Sammi claims she's “the sweetest b*tch you’ll ever meet”.she and her cast mates made the cover stories of important magazines as Entertainment Weekly,Harper’s Bazaar and Newsweek.

She had several interviews and made numerous appearances on other shows ,such as Rachael Ray , The Tonight Show with Jay Leno , MTV's Video Music Awards 2010 and 2011 , The Ellen DeGeneres Show , The Wendy Williams Show , The Barbara Walters Special , Good Morning America and MTV's When I Was 17.[6]

In March 2011 Giancola launched her own jewelry line with RichRocks jewelry entitled the “Sweetheart Collection”, she also unleashed a new fragrance called "DANGEROUS" with the modo "Dangerously Sweet ,just like Sammi".[7]

Sammi is also designing a line of hair extensions [8]and has an upcoming 2012 movie "The Three Stooges" with her fellow jersey shore cast mates[9].

Personal life

Giancola is a Hazlet, New Jersey native.

She gained fame on the jersey shore show for her on again off again relationship with castmate Ronnie Ortiz.There were several fights between them and their romance remained rocky throughout.[10]
