Amado Vásquez Ledesma ... was born February 14th 1930 in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He married radio personality, Solangel Payano, and later divorced. On August 1st 2006, during the 54th anniversary of CERTV (Corporación Estatal de Radio y Televisión), he received an award for his many years of work at a "son" radio show. He remained an active radio personality until his death, May 29th, 2009, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
