Team 537 is a FIRST Robotics FRC team from Sussex, Wisconsin. Team 537 is run out of Sussex-Hamilton High School. They are known as Charger Robotics (from the name of the school's mascot, "The Charger")

Structure edit

Team 537 strives to be a very student-centric team. The mentors work as advisors and lend thier knowledge to the team, but most decisions are made by the students. One the top of the team hierarchy is the Student Team Lead that oversees the building process. The entire team votes on who this person is. Then, along with the mentors the Student Lead choses the Core Team.

Team projects edit

Miniregional edit

One of the main activities that 537 does is the "miniregional" competition. This competition helps is held near the end of build season so that FRC teams can have a taste of competion. The team builds thier own arena and all the game pieces needed for the years game.

MARRs Scouting System edit

MARRs is an acronym for Match and Robot Report System. It is a system developed by the team to gain statistics on compeating robots. By using comprehensive preprinted forms and then entering the data into a custom database the team streamlines the scouting process. It was written by the team's student webmaster Michael Weinand

Waukesha County SWAT Team Robot edit

A handfull of veteran members of Team 537 are currently in talks with the Waukesha County Swat Team to explore the feasiblity of building them a robot for use in situations that the SWAT team wouldn't want to send a man in right away. This project is being lead by student Taylor Rohr.
