Y.B.C. (or Young Bull Committee) is a social group stemming from Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2006, this group is primarily consisted of active youths in the Coatesville area. All members are over 21.

History

edit

Founded by Christopher Desiata, the group started with merely a few community-involved youths who strived to better themselves and the community in various ways while demonstrating a "hip" denomination. Within months, scores local supporters had applied to join the cause. Y.B.C. has been involved in janitorial services, the voluntary aid of elderly citizens in strenuous yard work, disposal of litter, contributing to local law enforcement, and various other community charities. To this day, the number of members continues to rise and the level of aid to the local community grows steadily.

Typical Members

edit

The majority of current Y.B.C. members are young caucasian males typically from the Coatesville area. However, these are not qualifications nor limitations to membership. Anyone over 21 can join, regardless of ethnicity, age, religion, gender, or social background. The group does encourage its members to be proactive, creative, and involved in the community, but these are not requirements and are not strictly enforced.

Activities

edit

Y.B.C. is dedicated to many activities that support the local community. These activities include social meetings, fundraisers, and members attend non-mandatory (but highly encouraged) bi-weekly meetings in which new members are inducted, special recognitions are rewarded, and members become better acquainted with each other. After the formal meeting, members typically attend a social gathering at one of the group officer's homes. Refreshments are provided, and members participate in "fun" activities. These activities include, but are not limited to: the production of music (the first and latest album is titled Y.B.C. and is not yet completed), recreational sports, and general conversation. Members sometimes play video games, watch television, and listen to music at these "parties" as well (although this behavior is considered "undesirable" and "antisocial").
