Marco Antonio Brasil Filho[1][failed verification] (November 27, 1986), known by his stage name Emtee, is currently a well-known freestyle rap underground MC. His notable wins include TOP 45 Candango Cantador 2009 sponsored by Cultura e Criatividade DF (2009)[2][failed verification] and second place for Best Brasiliense Hip Hop Album 2011 Prêmio Hip Hop Zumbi (2011).[3][failed verification]


Biography

Marco Antonio, also known as Emtee, was born in Brasília, DF. He has lived in Mexico, USA, and Brazil (where he currently resides). He is a professional Brazilian Sound Engineer.

Around 1998, along with Pure, Emtee formed the Hip Hop band called: "The Realness Crew." Their simple, yet addictive lyrics composed unforgettable classic successes "Baby Girl Without U", "Streetz", etc. Through several years the groups biggest hit "Baby Girl Without U" remained at the top of charts and ranked one of the songs that was most downloaded at "Rapstation.com"

In 2000, the group broke apart. Thus, ending the Crew.

In 2001, Emtee left the American town Rockville, Maryland and started to record alone, as he returned to his country of birth: Brazil.

Emtee has the main objective of using his music creations to keep the Brazilian youth away from drugs and viiolence, thus motavating the kids to stay in school.[4][failed verification]

Nowadays in 2011, Emtee is the official beatmaker of the Brazilian Hip Hop group known as: Movimento plano crew (MPC). He is also an MC (Master of Ceremony), rapping on most of the recorded tracks. He is a firm supporter of Brasiliense projects such as "Roda do Rap" which is utilized to inspire Art and music in the Brasília area.[5][failed verification]
