"The Accident" is short film directed by Jonathan Ed from india.
Synopsis : “The Accident " is my first short film, i'm Jonathan from Hyderabad in India. I've been very fascination about making films since my childhood, i still remember the days i used to woke every morning with a new story idea, and dreaming to make a film. I want to tell you about how The Accident film had happened. In 2007 i moved to Chennai to Hyderabad to achieve my dreams, i started working as graphic designer in night and visiting production offices in morning. I've a habit of seeing everything in creative point of view so used to get story ideas of whatever i see, listen, or inspire.
One day one of my friend came to Hyderabad from Bangalore, he bring me to a party at his friends house and we were driving home from party at early in the morning 3AM, exactly that time my mind got lighten up with an idea of what if i kills some one in the accident? what if that guy has no in city? what if that guy has a mission to complete but dies in accident because of me? how would i react? so all these questions spinning in my mind all the night, with in a week I've written proper story , that's " The Accident"
My intention was to make a emotional film then anything, because i love to make emotional films. So i decide to capture only emotions of a men who killed a guy in accident. I feel proudly i've succeeded in that.
Well, coming to how i made "The Accident" the moment i want to make some short film, my script was not accident, it was actually a script of child labor, but I've changed my mind when iv seen dozens short films in FilmFestival almost 80% short films based on social issues, i felt boring watching them. Then I've imagined my script,ohh no...i can't make this social issue film. the point here is i'm not against to social issue film in fact i strongly believed every film must talk about society,or family, or personal. Because our hero lives in family, family lives in society. But i thought my budget will not allow me to justice to my child labor script so kept that away and finalize on accident script.
We planned two scheduled, first scheduled completed in1day, and second we started at night 11 PM completed at next morning 7 AM. Later it took 10 days for to official preview, i don't remember date exactly.
I'm very much of out come of my debut attempt,i've shown to some of my friends who are working in films. Here i wanted to tell you one of the unforgettable appreciation from unexpected viewer, that's happened in 2008 October, it's has been nearly a year i made "The Accident" short film, one day i got a call from dillip who has done main lead in accident saying that " J Director Sukumar wanted to speak to you" i was shock for a sec then immediately i started hearing Director Sukumar appreciating me for good attempt, later he asked me to meet him, then next day i met him in his office since he was so busy in making arya2 even so he spent his valuable time for talking to me and this was one of the unforgettable moment in my life, i appriciat him for his attitude, being hot director in Telugu industry he came down to appreciated me, i became of him not because his films, but because of his attitude. and once again thanks to Director Sukumar.
