John M. Rosengren (born 1964) is an award-winning freelance writer and author of six books.

His feature articles, profiles and essays have appeared in more than 100 publications, including Bridal Guide, Penthouse, Reader's Digest, Self, Sports Illustrated, Tennis, U.S. Catholic and Utne Reader. His six books include Blades of Glory: The True Story of a Young Team Bred to Win, which chronicles a season spent with a Minnesota high school hockey powerhouse; "Hammerin' Hank, George Almighty and the Say Hey Kid: The Year that Changed Baseball Forever," an account of the 1973 Major League Baseball season; and the collaboration with Esera Tuaolo, "Alone in the Trenches: My Life as a Gay Man in the NFL." He holds a master's in creative writing from Boston University and teaches at the Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, where he lives with his wife Maria and their two children.
