25000 Miles Radio Show was a radio program that ran from February 2018 to August 2023 on CKVS 93.7 FM The Voice Of The Shuswap in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. Now it currently runs as an active podcast. The show was run by 2 Brother’s Josh and Joel, Who both have a background in music and podcasting. After moving to the small town of Salmon Arm the brother’s found themselves Disgusted by the bland radio stations and lack of variety around the area. The 2 dismissed the radio all together and fell into what they knew best, music and podcasting. But the reality was they weren’t changing much and the radio still sucked. The Brother’s made it their mission to change the airwaves in Salmon Arm for the better thus 25000 Miles was born. The name comes from how many miles it would take to circle the entire globe. That number of corse is 24,951 which doesn’t have a great ring to it. So the decision was made to use some quick math and round up to a more even and better sounding name. 25000 miles takes you around the world in sequence and plays underground musical artists from the place they are currently covering as well as many interviews with musical guests along the way including Stiff Little Fingers, Strung Out, The Bombpops, The Casualties, Dog Party, Real Mackenzies, D.O.A, Tsunami Bomb, just to name a few.
