Jhanaloden Dipantar (born on September 21, 1999), also known by his initials JD, is a Filipino freelance writer, graphic designer, and digital illustrator. He served as a content writer at E-SV Times, Creative Dynamics, and Miracle Soft Solutions in 2018 and as an editor to four Medina College wiki pages during the same time.
Dipantar is presently studying at the Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), where he majored in accountancy, primarily because of its increasing workforce demand. Despite that fact, he has spent most of his high school years in joining writing competitions, including the National Schools Press Conference 2016 which was held in Koronadal City, South Cotabato. He also served as an editor-in-chief and layout artist of The Vibration, the official school publication of Tomas Cabili National High School from 2013 to 2016 and as a sports editor of The Agong, the campus paper of MSU-IIT Integrated Developmental School, where he moved and finished his secondary education. On August 18, 2018, some days after becoming a freshman college student, he was accepted as a part of MSU-IIT Debate Varsity, the official debating organization of the campus.
Dipantar started out his freelancing career both at Freelancer and Hubstaff Talent on December 7, 2017 where most of his jobs are primarily hinged on graphic designing and content writing. After completing one writing and three design projects within three months, he decided to quit both freelancing sites, in the hopes of finding one that could best suit his prerequisites. On April 2, 2018, he began to work again but this time, in Upwork (formerly oDesk), after hearing its good reputation in terms of quality jobs and reliability. A week later, on April 9, he received his first job offer, which required him to write an English book of Islamic content that would be published as a mobile application targeted for young children. The project turned out successful and he eventually received his first five-star feedback. Here and now, he has been working for clients from Asia, United States, and Australian-based companies.
Early Life
Dipantar was born in Sta. Cruz, Metropolitan Manila to Myerline, who worked an office clerk, and Maldin Dipantar, a trader of DVDs and record collections during that time. His family moved to Tomas Cabili, Iligan City, when he was a toddler.
He is the first of four children, having one younger sister and two younger brothers.
Education
In 2006, he attended elementary school at Tomas Cabili Central School, where he finished as a class valedictorian. He proceeded to Tomas Cabili National High School in 2012 for junior high school, where his years were spent mostly in joining writing competitions, including the National Schools Press Conference 2016 which was held in Koronadal City, South Cotabato. He also served as an editor-in-chief and layout artist of The Vibration, the official school publication of the campus. In 2016, he transferred to MSU-IIT Integrated Developmental School, where he spent his final high school years. During that time, he worked for its school paper, The Agong, as its sports editor.

Freelancing Career
December 2017
Dipantar started out his freelancing career both at Freelancer and Hubstaff Talent on December 7, 2017 where most of his jobs are primarily hinged on graphic designing and content writing. He worked on various tasks, including but are not limited to digital illustrations, brochures, newsletters, presentations, and infographics. After completing one writing and three design contracts within three months, he decided to quit both freelancing sites, in the hopes of finding one that could best suit his prerequisites.
Moving to Upwork
On April 2, 2018, he began working again but this time he decided to have it in Upwork (formerly oDesk), after hearing its good reputation in terms of quality jobs and reliability. It took him a day to complete his profile overview, work samples, skills tests, and payment method. At his first try, he placed his usual graphic designing skill set in play, which failed to get him a site approval. That's the time when he decided to concentrate more on the field of writing and replaced his skills with those that are writing-related. He changed his overview and work samples yet again to accommodate the field he is about to engage himself to. He submitted his profile for a review the second time around, and was approved a day later.

December 2018
Dipantar was enjoying a 100% job success score rating, which gave way for more job offers and invitations, until he received his first negative feedback on the site on December 21, 2018, which was principally due to surcharging school requirements and his first national debating competition in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte which lasted for almost two weeks. This dropped his clean job success rate record and handed him his first below five-star feedback.
Working as an Editor
Some days after his big career failure, an opportunity had opened up for Dipantar, which he immediately accepted in order to climb back from a 58% job success score, that has resulted from the unsuccessful job he had a week ago. It required him to work on four wikipedia pages, covering four establishments under the supervision of Medina College, Inc. These are the Medina College-Ozamiz, Medina College-Pagadian, Medina College-Ipil, and Medina College Foundation.
The project handed him a five-star feedback and got him back from a 58% job success score to 64%, despite the fact that it was his first time working as a Wikipedia editor. Since then, he began enhancing the new skill he has acquired via watching YouTube videos and memorizing source codes which he all deemed necessary in the future projects he will soon engage to.
January 2019
As his second year of freelancing has officially came into count, he has been finding ways to land on another series of job offers to finally get him back on track. As of the date, he has a record of 52 hours total hours worked, excluding those fixed priced contracts, and a $500 year worth of earnings, excluding those projects that were done outside Upwork borders.
