Elemental Assassin Series new article content ... The 'Elemental Assassin' series is a group of books written by author Jennifer Estep. The series is set in the fictional city of 'Ashland' somewhere in the southern states of the USA. It follows the life of assassin Gin Blanco, A.K.A 'The Spider'. Within this world many people have the power to manipulate certain elements such as fire, ice, air, stone and some offshoots such as metal (stone) and electricity (air). Gin herself has a strong ability for the element of stone, being able to harden her skin to marble or even, as seen in the second book, collapse a mountain. She also has a less powerful aptitude for the element of ice, however, at the end of the second book, she is able to increase her power to a point that is almost equal to her stone ability.

FIRST BOOK: SPIDER'S BITE:

The story opens in a mental asylum, where the protagonist 'Gin Blanco' is undercover as a patient in order to kill her latest target, NAME HERE. The scene unfolds as Gin openly admits to being the infamous assassin known as 'the spider', which is understandably scoffed at by her target, the psychiatric doctor leading therapy. She then goes on to calmly confront the doctor about her seduction and ensuing abandonment of a mentally fragile young man left in her care. She then explains that before the boy committed suicide, he confessed in a note that he couldn't live without her. This prompted his parents to hire an assassin to have the doctor killed. Meanwhile, Gin has been counting down to the time that she stated the doctor would be dead by, and as promised, come that time she throws a nail that punctures her targets throat, thus killing her. After briefly murdering the male orderly she decided to kill because of his penchant for sexually assaulting the female patients, Gin then proceeds to exit the asylum whilst leaving no trace of her ever being there.

Having finished her latest contract, Gin then heads back to 'The Pork Pit', the restauraunt that her handler, surrogate father and trainer 'Fletcher Lane' owns. Upon arriving, she senses that something is amiss, and proceding with caution goes on to find the mutilated body of Fletcher.
