Aviation has been an enduring theme since age 13. After a start flying gliders with a first solo at age 14, I just kept plugging along, building time, finding work in the air and eventually landing at Southwest Airlines flying 737's. That job sometimes gets dismissed as a glorified bus driver. Even though there are similarities, flying a 737 is infinitely more fun than driving a bus. And the sights!

In March of 1999 a fateful phone call lured me into the sport of Powered Paragliding - an endeavor that essentially usurped my life. I dove in deep. After a few years, wanting to see it preserved, I started doing things to that end including the start of www.USPPA.org, developing the video "Risk & Reward" with William Shatner and expertly produced by LiteTouchFilms.com. The culmination of my hope for good information on the sport was producing a comprehensive manual on the sport called the "Powered Paragliding Bible" and creating the FootFlyer.com[1] resource. I continue to fly and learn.

It's one of the beautiful aspects of a full life, especially with a passion, that we can seem to just keep learning. It's even more rewarding to share that learning with others.
