Jeannette M. Porrazzo is an Italian-American filmmaker; writer, director and producer and is also a songwriter and music producer. Porrazzo was born in Los Angeles, CA on August 6, 1978 and grew up in a small horse community just south of Reno, NV. She attended University Nevada Reno at age 14, and studied voice performance. In 2001 she received a full music scholarship to Austin Peay State University. While at APSU she majored in voice performance, minored in broadcast journalism and performed in three operas(dramatic soprano). In 2006 she received her bachelors of fine arts in photojournalism and broadcast communications from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Ms. Porrazzo has worked in Hollywood on multiple productions as a director, assistant director, assistant camera operator and script supervisor. In 2007 she founded Jetty Spaghetti Films with the intention of making films in every genre; especially musicals and documentaries. She is currently executive producer, writer, director and composer for the feature film, Number 1 Hit-along with having four other films in development. Ms. Porrazzo is a very gifted and talented songwriter with over 250 lyrics under her belt. She is currently co-writing with award-winning pianist and arranger, Dr. James Lent of Yale Universities school of music. Porrazzo has produced and directed a feature length documentary for PBS, titled "Market Reno, a short documentary for cable TV, titled "The Converts" and is currently in preproduction for a very controversial documentary film about the pro life movement America, titled, "A life worth living". Her film NUMBER 1 HIT, a modern day musical begins filming summer 2009 and will release in theaters WINTER/SPRING 2010.
