Dr. Jayanta Kumar Das is an artist of Rudra Veena, Surbahar and Sitar. He pursued his Ph.D. in Music from Bangalore University, focusing on research in both South Indian and North Indian music styles. As an A-graded artist in three instruments Rudra Veena, Surbahar and Sitar.

Performance

Performed with Dhrupad vocal and RudraVeena, as an Sitar artist performed with various duet presentation on South Indian string instrument and Sitar in Indian Radio and Television.He represented Cultural Deligate of Goverment of India in different European countries.

History

He learned Sitar, Rudra Veena, and Surbahar from his father and then received advanced training from Ustad Imrat Hussain Khan and other musical stalwarts.
