Unlike end user-based platforms like YouTube or Instagram Live, Muvi is business-to-business (B2B). Muvi provides both on-demand and live streaming support of video and audio content. As of 2019, over 2 million people stream on Muvi every month based out of its 500+ customer base across 40+ countries.

History

edit

Muvi was founded by Anshuman Das in 2012. Initially, it was conceptualised on the lines of IMDb with support for video playback where users can watch the trailers, videos of movies, series, short videos while rate and review them. After the year 2013, the company was inclined more towards multicast peer-to-peer streaming and deviated completely to over-the-top content distribution and monetization technology.
