New article name goes here new article content ... Bobo-Jo was an Auguste clown who performed shows in the North Florida area. Her picture was on page one of the Scene Magazine attachment to the Gainesville Sun on March 10, 1984. She was an active member of the Gainesville Sunshine Clowns and served as the Chair of that organization in 1986. In 1987 she won the competition for First Place Clown at the annual Southeast Clown Association meeting in St. Augustine, Florida. She changed characters to Jodini in the first few years of the 21st Century, but has a large section highlighting Bobo-Jo in the www.jodini.com website. She has performed hundreds of shows an downtown festivals, churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, libraries, private parties and television.

One phenomenon which might be called the Bobo-Jo effect occurred in the early 1980's when she performed a show at a private party, and gave permission to the client videotape her show. As she packed up and was heading out the door, she turned and declared "Bye, boys and girls!". No one answered her as they were engrossed in watching her show on the television, the same show they had just witnessed live. The fact that she was displayed on television gave her a greater impact in the eyes of the children.
