About Me

edit

Hello, my name is James and I work as a Faculty Digital Learning Manager at the University of Sheffield.

I was born in Wolverhampton, but relocated to Sheffield in 1999 where I undertook a BA in History at the University of Sheffield followed by an MSc in Information Studies.

e-Learning

edit

My primary role at work concerns digital learning (or e-learning). e-Learning refers to electronic or enhanced learning. The choice of using a lowercase 'e' and an uppercase 'L' is purposeful and signifies that more emphasis is given to learning and pedagogy, with the electronic/enhanced component not the prominent, but a supportive process.[1]
