Texas Utilities Code

edit

The Texas Labor Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature to regulate different utility providers, utility rates, and the Texas power grid among other things. It also establishes the Public Utility Commission of Texas and regulates the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). [1] The code was enacted in 1997 by Texas SB 1751, 75th R.S. as part of the ongoing revision process begun in 1963.[2]
