Texas Insurance Code edit

The Texas Insurance Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature to create the Texas Department of Insurance, regulate insurers and insurance companies, types of insurance, and provide provisions for taxation.[1] The original Title 1 of the act was the Insurance Code of 1951, most of which was repealed or re-designated. [1] The code was enacted in 1999 and was revised substantially throughout the early to mid 2000s as part of the ongoing revision process begun in 1963. [2]
