Texas Election Code

The Texas Election Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature that regulates national, statewide, and local elections. It also regulates voting, political parties and campaigns, election recounts, and pathways of challenging electoral results. The code was enacted in 1985 by Texas SB 616, 69th R.S. during the ongoing revision process begun in 1963.
