My name is Jackie, I'm an American living in Beirut, Lebanon (previously Amman, Jordan) and I've been editing Wikipedia since October 2019.

My specialization at uni was anthropology, and my work at academic research centers engages the fields of humanities, history, the Arabic language (literature and second-language teaching), cultural studies, and international politics. My interests are varied and include cultural history, mashreqi cultural heritage, social science, gender studies, and contemporary music.

I speak Arabic, English, and a bit of Spanish and am passionate about the task of moving information and resources between language communities (i.e., translation) and offering appropriate cultural and historical context along the way.

انا اسمي جاكي، من سُكان مدينة بيروت وعمان سابقا والأصل أمريكي، محرّرة على الويكيبيدا العربية والانجليزية منذ أكتوبر ٢٠١٩ تخصّصت بعلم الانثروبولوجية و أعمل حاليا في مركز أكاديمي، كما أهتم بمواضيع متنوّعة من ضمنها التاريخ الثقافي والآثار والدراسات الاجتماعية والجندرية والموسيقى المعاصرة
