Ernest M. A. Machado (1868-1907) was an American architect who practiced in Salem, Massachusetts. He was particularly known for the design of country houses. Though based in Salem, he developed a practice which worked as far away as Ottawa.

Life and career edit

Machado attended the public schools of Salem and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 1890. For four years after his graduation he worked for Shepley, Rutan & Coolidge, followed by another three for Winslow & Wetherell.
