Mordan attended Sheffield University from 1995 - 1998, gaining a BA in English Literature, as well as graduating from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2001. Acting

edit

Mordan has appeared in a variety of roles on TV, including Crimewatch and narrating a documentary for Channel 4[1]

In 2002 Mordan appeared as the titular character Haley in an episode of the cult SciFi TV show Lexx.[2]. In 2006 she performed in Mundic Nation's premier of the first play by novelist and poet D. M. Thomas' Hell Fire Corner,[3] as Florrie

Political activism

edit

Mordan campaigns extensively on issues such as feminism, gender, abortion rights and the rights of performers. Mordan is an active peace campaigner and was elected onto the CND National Council in 2004.[4] As a child, Mordan would spend many weekends at Greenham Common peace camp. "I was a feminist from four years old," she says, "and refused to play with Barbie dolls because of that."[5]

Mordan has helped organise a number of high profile protests, working with Object to get Hackney council to adopt a "nil policy" for Sexual Entertainment venues in the borough.[6] as well as protesting against the Miss World event when it was held in London.[7]

In 2010 Mordan co-facilitated an anti-pornography workshop entitled "It’s Easy Out Here For A Pimp" at the Feminism in London Conference organised by The London Feminist Network.[8]
