History

edit

The beginning

edit

In the year of 2005, RadioGreen launched as a general Hip Hop Internet radio station.

RadioGreen's intent was to become a simple site streaming Josh's wacky shows to all his friends. Ryan Maffit, a close friend of Josh, hopped on the RadioGreen scene when he suggested converting RadioGreen into an internet radio Station.

After a few runs to the local CD stores, salvaging a few old PCs from under Josh's bed, and some late hours, RadioGreen was born. The station aired a variety of programs, from wacky talk shows to shout outs, and became a hot spot for many of the owners friends.

Evolution

edit

Acquiring a taste of Dance Music in 2006, Josh and Ryan attempted to air both dance and pop music on the struggling station. The attempt failed, and RadioGreen was put on the shelf during the winter of 2006 due to lack of funds and the loss of its loyal hip-hop fan base.

Ryan and Josh felt hopeless and revoked ownership of the station. RadioGreen was given to a friend, Peter Leite. Peter, known as DJ Pedro, has a taste for Euro Dance music. With Ryan and Josh out of the loop, Peter's idea was to revive RadioGreen with a Euro Dance format.

However, Peter soon revoked his ownership of the station.

Today

edit

RadioGreen returned in early 2007 as an internet radio station dedicated strictly to Dance Music.
