J.R. Guayo is a songwriter, producer, and performer. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Guayo has been involved in the music scene since the early 80s performing in various bands to include the Puerto Rican popular band Rockshott. Taking advantage of today's widely accessible music production and distribution tools, and inspired by the Oliver Wendell quote: "Many people die with their music still in them", Guayo began composing and producing his own work during the COVID pandemic times. Although his music is heavily influenced by the sounds of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, his new productions adopt many elements of modern pop and rock music, resulting in "New Music With Classic Sounds".
