Quagmire Records is an independent record label from Los Gatos, California founded in 1991. Artists on the label included A Western Front, The Slowest Train in the World, Baby, Dale Strachan and The Sweet Life. The record label released the first downloadable full-length album in 1994[1] and the first album exclusively released on the Internet.
The label was founded by Tim Alexander and David Beach in Los Gatos, CA and was run with an analog recording studio in the basement of a hair salon on Main St. Quagmire released five full-length compact discs and several cassettes. It achieved national college radio airplay for the power pop band A Western Front before their record distributor filed for bankruptcy.
