Didirri or Didirri Peters, is a singer songwriter from Warrnambool, Australia.[1] His latest EP, Measurements, has garnered over 30 million streams worldwide.[2] His music focuses on themes of simplicity and honesty by reflecting on life experiences through his lyrics. Didirri has toured the U.S. and the U.K. twice with collaborations such as Vance Joy and Hozier. His two most recent singles, "Blue Mood Rising" and "Raw Stuff", were released through Nettwerk Music.[3]

Life

Didirri was born on October 22, 1996 in Warrnambool, Australia. His father is a children's performer and singer-songwriter. His mother is a painter. Peters was a circus performer at a very young age and also performed music at preschools throughout Australia with his father. His autistic brother, Lachy, has inspired a refreshing perspective of simplicity and honesty in Didirri's music.

While a teenager, Didirri was formally trained in piano and studied jazz. While earning his Bachelors in Music at Warrnambool College, Didirri left behind three years of piano training and picked up the guitar. After college, Didirri began composing original music and performing in Melbourne.[4]

Career

"Blind You" and "Jude" released in 2017, each garnering several million streams on Spotify.[2] His first EP titled Measurements was produced by Hayden Calnin in Melbourne and released in 2018, collecting over 30 million streams worldwide on Spotify. Didirri has played renowned festivals following the project: UK’s The Great Escape and Latitude Festivals, Australia’s Splendour In The Grass and Bris Fest, Loch Hart Festival in Princetown, and Barcelona’s Primavera Sound. He toured the US and the UK twice in under six months. He has performed with Vance Joy, Hozier, Tash Sultana, The Temper Trap, and Middle Kids.[5]
