Omeya Golf and residentail is a new, under construction surburb, 30 kilometres south of Windhoek. It is being specifically built to introduce a new lifestyle to individuals that are into sporty and nature orientated lifesyle. Omeya offers a variety of game mostly small game. Omeya also aims to provide golfing activities as it is the home to an 18 hole golf course. Other facilities on the site include cafes, pubs, gyms and a spa. The whole area is electrically fenced and is under 24 hour patrols by security forces. To enhance the safety, there is a control point at which all people enter and the whole place is on watch by surveillance cameras. Only phase 2 of 3 is complete at the site and the last phase is expected to be completed by 2013.
